Handa’s Surprise

Junior and Senior Infants have been reading the book Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne. We followed Handa on her journey to deliver tropical fruits to her friend Akeyo. But things don’t go quite as Handa had planned and we all get a surprise at the end! Senior Infants produced some amazing pieces of writing based on the book. Junior Infants were able to retell the story in  their own words. This book links in with our learning about healthy eating and Food Dudes. We painted the fruits and animals for our display.
