Dear Parents,
• There will be a clothing collection at the school on Wednesday morning, 25th October. We are sending a bag out today but please feel free to fill extra black bags if you wish.
• School closed Friday 24th November – In Service training.
• Halloween Fancy Dress/Cake Sale on Friday 27th October. All proceeds will go to purchasing a defibrillator for the school. Your continued support is appreciated. Please remember no nuts or food containing nuts please. School closes at 2pm for Infants and 3pm for all others for mid-term break.
• The school recently purchased 10 fantastic gym mats and storage trolley with funds raised by your Parents’ Association. Go raibh mile maith agaibh go léir – Thank you all very much!
• Best of luck to the St. Micheal’s G.A.A Ladies team in the league final on Saturday and The Men’s Intermediate Championship Final this Sunday, first time since 1989. As part of the build up to this historic day, we will have a Black & Red Day in school this Friday, (school tracksuit is perfect). Larry McEntee, on behalf of St. Micheal’s G.A.A , is making a video for the day. He would like to come into the school and record a video of the pupils in their black and red asking them questions like “Who will win?, Who’s your favourite player?”etc. This would then be part of the final day video production which will hopefully include winning! If you give permission for your child to appear in this video then please fill in the permission slip below and return to the school tomorrow.
