5th and 6th Art Work
The creativity in Rang a Cúig and Rang a Sé has been so impressive over the last few weeks!
We have been learning about Picasso and used oil pastels to explore and illustrate the various shapes and lines used in his facial portraits.Look how effective they turned out!
Following on from Picasso, we further explored how the use of lines can be manipulated to create a 3d image of the hand when combined with simple coloured patterns.
As summer season finally arrived in Kilbeg NS, we got out to admire our beautiful school grounds and drew our own concepts of how we could further develop our school garden this year. Some very lovely ideas guys!
We have been dreaming of our summer holidays of course(!!) and bearing that in mind we created these sailing scenes using various shades of blue paint. We then ripped the page and layered them back on to create the white tipped waves. The final touch was making our origami sail boats….feeling a little more calm already!
