More thrills and skills with Ben from North Meath Rugby!

Well done to the boys’ and girls’ team for reaching the County Finals in the Primary Schools’ Soccer!

Boys and girls of 5th and 6th are doing very well in the inter-schools’ football competition.

Monday mornings have become very lively with visits from Ben to help us learn new rugby skills. The whole class has been very enthusiastic when participating in these sessions and everyone agrees that they are lots of fun! This week, we began to learn the rules of Tag Rugby and had lots of fun trying to snare a red or yellow tag from opposing teams. Here are some pics from the latest session…..

in partnership with our Active Flag activity, we recently purchased some fabulous new sports equipment to help liven up our breaks and also enhance our P.E. lessons. Included in the delivery were – skipping ropes, hula hoops, dodge balls, and multi target hoops. We are especially excited about our new balance boards – an initiative encouraged by a recent visit from GAA coach Dudley Farrell. These boards will be a wonderful in helping the children focus on their balance and co-ordination.  Some of 3rd and 4th class helped us to unpack our new items!
