We were delighted to welcome Chloe Mahon to our school today to work with 3rd & 4th. We began a 5 week hurling programme whereby the children learn the necessary skills required to play the skillful sport. Helmets and hurls were provided and the girls and boys had lots of fun chasing the sliotars

3rd and 4th had lots of fun when given a group task – to build a tall strong tower, that looks good and has a theme! The results were fantastic! It’s amazing what you can build in 20 minutes! Some budding architects and contractors in our midst…..

We had great fun this week doing lots of experiments. Some worked and some took extra work , but all generated fun, enthusiasm and excitement. And the final results…. Science Experiment- Capillary Action We took 3 empty glasses. We filled 2 glasses with the same amount of water. We put yellow food colouring in one glass and red food colouring in the other. We cut 2 similar strips of kitchen roll We put the 3 glasses on the window sill…
