Infants to 2nd Class work
For our Infants to Second, we recommend:
-using the schedule below or have fun designing your own!
– lots of reading and revision of all sounds
-practising correct letter formation
-‘hands-on’ fun with every day practical Maths
-chat with each ‘as Gaeilge’ 😊
-simple projects using Twinkl or research your own topic
-Gonoodle activity breaks
-lots of drawing, Lego and creative activities
3rd and 4th Class work

1. The children have studied Japan and Italy recently – they can now pick a country of their choice to do a similar project on including – location, culture, food, traditions, interesting facts, climate, items they export etc.. project can be done on a4 pages and include illustrations …
2. Write a short poem on any fantasy character from a well known fairytale – approx 8 lines and with a hint of humour like we looked at in school
3. Read @ home and Leigh sa Bhaile as normal
4. Mental Maths – photographs attached for anyone without books – week 24 for 3rd and week 25 for 4th
5. Active Homework for all! 😊 – lets take advantage of the situation & try to complete one daily family related game/dance or exercise to help us with our Active Flag – & one individual activity eg skipping/hopping etc.. a photo of one of these activities being done at home would be great for our Amber/Active Flag applications
