Pride of Place Award.

We are delighted to have been awarded Level 3 in the school Pride of Place Awards. An assessor came to our school and she was very impressed by our beautiful school garden and the knowledge the children had of all the plants and flowers we have planted.
They were also able to share their learning about climate change, habitats, composting, crops and weeds. Well done to all our children!!

World Champs!

Congratulations to the O’Malley children on being part of the group that came 1st in the World Music Festival in Innsbruck, Austria.

Active Week

Dear Parents,

We will be holding our annual Active Week from Monday, 10th June – Friday, 14th June. Children are asked to wear their team colours on the Thursday & Friday of this week.

Weather permitting, the children will be outside as much as possible this week so if it is at all sunny, we would be grateful if the children could pack a sunhat in their bag and also apply sunscreen on these days. An extra bottle of water for each child is advised this week also. In the event of rain, we will hold as many of the activities as possible in the gym. Please send a coat/raincoat to school with your child/children. The children will be asked given some Active homework this week, which will be posted on the school website in advance. We hope to have our school Sports Day on Wednesday, 12th June. If we know in advance that the weather is forecast to be wet, we will change the date. Looking forward to a happy & energetic week!

Mini-Beasts in First and Second Class

We had fun working on our projects. We put a lot of effort into our work.

We used the Chromebooks to find out the information we needed.

We followed the steps we learned in English for writing a report.

After all our tests we did some mindfulness colouring on the topic of Mini-Beasts.

We are delighted to show you our work on our website.

Junior and Senior Plant Sunflowers

Junior and Senior Infants were busy planting sunflowers in our raised beds. We planted our seeds in recycled pots and looked after them inside until they were ready

to plant outside. We learned about the cycle of the sunflower too.
